What Now?

02.23.17 | by Christi Gibson

When I received Jesus as my Savior, I understood two changes had taken place. First, my future was secure. When I died someday, I would go to heaven. Second, I was a member of God’s family. I was a part of a family—a body. The belonging part was even more important to me than the eternity thing.

It wasn't until Janis McCracken offered to teach me that I understood how much more had changed. Janis showed me how I was fundamentally different - because of the transforming power of the Holy Spirit. Just like my parents had taught me how to walk and talk and eat as a child, she taught me how to do all those things in step with the Holy Spirit.

I'm grateful that God puts us in His family, and that we don't have to figure out how to do the Christian life all by ourselves. We have people who are eager to teach and equip us.

If you have believed in Jesus, and would like some instruction on what's next, our New Believers classes are for you. If you know a new believer who might benefit, bring them to the class - and stick around to walk through it with them.

You can sign up on the tab or in the main lobby. Kids classes start March 5. Adult classes start March 12. Come and find out how to live abundantly now!
