You have heard for several weeks about being “Inspired to Grow.” The banners in the worship center provide some insight to our campaign that encourage us to grow in many areas of our personal journey. This emphasis also has a capital campaign focus as we look to expand our age-graded ministry space and build a new entrance on church owned property.
Anytime we seek to grow in any area of our lives, it results in us being stretched through different aspects of life. In order for us to move forward with building, we are asking each family to pray and fill out a commitment card that is provided in your worship guide today. You can take it home and bring it back by April 30. You should have received a letter and commitment card in the mail but those can sometimes get lost. Several weeks ago people were invited to join as pacesetter leaders if they were ready to go ahead and make a commitment. We are building based on money received as well as pledges to give over the next three years. Today we learn the amount of the early commitment group to set a pace for how much more will be needed in gifts and pledges to reach the $6 million need. The church has many faithful families that serve and give faithfully. This challenge is above and beyond what any of us are already doing with a tithe or talent within our church family.
My prayer is that we will join in unity, faithfully giving what God lays on our hearts as we continue to be even brighter lights for the Gospel in this city and around the world.
