#cominghome

11.17.17 | by Trey Gibson

It was my second day working at FBNO when Pastor David walked into my office and asked if I wanted to take a drive. I agreed, and we headed to 5304 Canal Boulevard—just before the railroad tracks.

When we walked inside the Fitness Center in the corner of the old tire store parking lot, he asked if there was any capacity for which the youth could use this space for a few months before we completed the entrance. I didn’t hesitate.

This sparked a rapidly progressing series of events, workdays, and provisions from the Lord as we began having all Student Ministry programming there in February. What began as a six-month maximum, will end just a couple months short of two years when the Student Ministry comes home on December 17.

When the preparation for the construction process has run into delays, what the enemy intended to cause frustration in our church has given our students almost two years in a fantastic building! For that, we are so incredibly thankful.

Thank you student, parents, and church family for rolling with the punches as we have enjoyed “The Garage” since February 2016. Many of you volunteered to help as drivers, moved pool and ping pong tables, helped lay carpet, and have been so gracious as we trickle in a little late into the 10:45 service! We are so thankful, and excited to come home in December.
